Quentin Thomas Wells

Quentin Thomas Wells is an author, a film and video producer, a businessman, a former CIA case officer, an experienced researcher, and a highly skilled investigator.

Born in 1941 in Salt Lake City, Wells graduated magna cum laude from the University of Utah with a degree in international relations. He worked for several years in the CIA’s Clandestine Services where his focus was on Eastern Europe and Africa.

His work in the intelligence community gave him a deep knowledge of research and investigative techniques that he has continued to use in later years. He has been an avid private investigator and genealogical researcher for over 50 years and has handled cases for more than 500 clients in more than 30 countries.

After leaving the CIA, Wells became an advertising company executive and then expanded into motion picture and video production as a writer and director. He later became CEO of his own video production company while at the same time managing several other small businesses, including a leasing company and a technology firm.

Wells served several years as president of the Sandy Area Chamber of Commerce and afterward moved on to became Director of the Student Media Center at Salt Lake Community College (SLCC). He retired from SLCC in 2008.

Wells is the author of thriller novels, historical biographies, technology books, screenplays and magazine articles and is still an active and prolific writer.

Wells has been married to his wife, the former Pat Albrecht, for more than 60 years.  They are parents of one son, Nicholas, and three daughters, Monique, Alexandra, and Stephanie.  All their children are married and they have fourteen grandchildren.
